Who We Are

Our vision as a church is to:

Behold

We behold Jesus.

“Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world” - John 1:29(ESV)

We want to get our eyes off of ourselves and onto someone much greater — Jesus. We do this by worshipping through prayer, Scripture, and singing. When we do this we place Jesus on the throne of our hearts.

Believe

We believe in Jesus.

“You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me.” - John 5:39(ESV)

We hold fast to the truths about God that he has revealed about himself in the Scriptures.  Everything we do goes through the filter of the Scriptures. Our preaching, prayers, and the songs we sing must line up with what the Bible says. We gather to remind each other of these truths. Click here to find out what we believe.

Belong

We belong to Jesus and to each other.

“You are not your own, for you were bought with a price.” - 1 Corinthians 6:19-20(ESV)

When we take Jesus at his word, we submit our whole lives to him. He is our King.

“…giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.” - Ephesians 5:20-21(ESV)

We also belong to one another. Paul tells us in Ephesians 5 to “submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.” We need each other. So we practice community at our Sunday gatherings, our weekly Community Tables, and on Family Nights.

Become

We become like Jesus.

For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.” - Romans 8:29(ESV)

The goal of our discipleship is to look like Jesus. That is the believer’s destiny. Therefore, we regularly ask ourselves the question, “Do I look like Jesus?” He is the standard.
